Hello

I recently had my computer sorted out and cleaned up cause of the slowness. I still have the webcam and can view it but on msn i cant use it. I want to be able to accesses my webcam on msn chat. I have the Eee PC 904HD. Can anyone help me please.

Hello Everyone,
my built-in webcam suddenly disappeared from my brand new ASUS eee Notebook (model 1101, with Windows Xp).
Here is what I could do to make it work it again (after 3 hours of trying, chunks of hair pulled out etc:/):
You go to "my computer", choose "device" from menu, doubleclick.It will show if there is a problem with actual device. From here you can have a look in "general", "properties" or "details". I have choosen "properties", where it has shown the webcam was not connected(?). Chose option "install" which opened an installation wizard and from here on it was easy.
Webcam works just fine now. I do not know what removed it in the first place and at the start I even downloaded Driver Detective and Uniblue Registry Booster to see what the problem is. Naturally, these progs will find about a zillion faults in your hard drive - then, of course you MUST proceed to checkout and fork out the dough for having it fixed...To me this seems fishy,I uninstalled both these progs immediately. I hope my story helps to someone out there.

If you have all your drivers installed and your webcam dont work check El Sax post
On start up press F2 (Bios Setup) then advanced then OS Installation and change it to Finished also go to On Board Devices and make sure they are all Enabled then F10 save and exit When windows starts it will fine and install USB2 drivers and your camera will work

guys i have a big problem!!

my notebook eee pc 701 is infected by virus and it doesn't open anymore my OS is win xp so after the welcome (when you open it) the screen is all black but you can still move the mouse..how could i reformat it???it doesn't have CD-ROM.. :(
