I'd like to request more OS X stuff. I downloaded the 10.4.8 install that's floating around there and got it installed, although it failed to boot (kernal panic every time). Possibly due to the "options" button to allow me to set the partition boot system not showing up for me (as it supposedly does for people installing Leopard). Possibly due to some other step I left off (the "post install patch" that I saw, again for Leopard, that many swore they didn't need to do). So, can you or anyone offer such a walkthrough?

I have installed Ubuntu 7.10 on my EEE, and almost everything works. I do however have troubles getting a 1440x900 resolution on my external display using xrandr (I run compiz 3D effects) whereas I can get certain other resolutions to work (I guess I have to add some modeline, but I don't know exactly).

A tutorial on this would be truely appreciated!

I was actually thinking about that the other day, I use a program for my PSP called netfs to share my files over the internet. Something for the EEE should be doable.

How about a tutorial on how to mount internet filesystems, such as GmailFS, JungleDisk, or SSHFS?

I need some solution to expand the internal disk, and these network-based disks seem ideal. Perhaps a speed test could round it out.
