The files below are copies of the Windows XP driver software for the EEE pc taken from the DVD that came with my EEE pc 4G. These drivers also work for the 2G and 8G models. I should have made this post awhile ago but it's better late than never. I've posted each driver separately because their combined size is over 100 mb and that is a large file to download when you may only need one or two of the drivers. One more thing to remember is that you should install the acpi and chipset drivers before the others (audio especially).

What about the Webcam Drivers?
webcam drivers are included by xp from defaulkt, you might have to re-enable it in the bios (f2 whilst starting up)

It's not a driver problem. You have NumLock ON. You have to turn it OFF. You have to press buttons FN+F11 (on/off), then it should work. If the fn-button doesn't work then U need drivers for that...

I have a few days a asus eeepc pc4g on which I had to force things reinstalling xp after a problem with some components that were removed using a modified version of xp with nlite.
Earlier in the systray of xp I had the utility that allowed me to modify the resolution (compact mode, 800x400 and 800x600) and toggle the wifi and webcam.
After reinstalled xp and all drivers that i find here,i have in the utility only the possibility to switch the resolution 800x480 and 800x600 and I not have compact mode, the activation of wifi and the web.
the wifi and that the webcam are activated on bios.
The wifi is activated via keyboard with FN + F2.
the Web is seen by the PC as Usb Device Video - Digital Camera in computer resources and when i click on it i see my figure.

The 16gb sd card does not appear? Perhaps you need to format it. Right click on my computer>manage>go to disk management> see if the drive is listed there, then format it.

Here's the deal I’m looking at buying either the asus eee 2g surf for $249.99 or the asus eee 4g surf(with xp drivers) for $299.99 from buy.com. So should I buy the 2g and get the drivers here(which are exactly what I would get if I got the 4g right??) or the 4g with the drivers. The drivers posted here are what I would get if bought the 4g? I'm a little afraid of trying to install xp in general for the free of completely screwing things up because I’m no computer wiz and have never tried anything that big before. ok so when i try and use my webcam (built in eee pc 904 HD) it doesnt work, it says that I dont have the harware installed?? how do I fix this?? it use to work, till about a week ago, then i installed driver detective (an intel product) and its basicaly destroyed my comp, 1st it gave me drivers that dont work for WLAN and Ethernet, which i only discovered after id installed them. anyway i restored the system, fixed the WLAN and ethernet but not the cam. any ideas, email me gareth.worthington1985@live.co.uk

Hi, everyone!
As you know the driver files for ASUS EePc can be easily found on
the net but are very large in size.
So I made a compact pack that includes all of them but the size of
the package is ONLY 40MB.
Unpack the archive and run "Install_drivers.cmd" script. When the window is displayed click "Start Restore". During the instalation you may need to click "Continue anyway" if the Windows warnes about non-licensed drivers (don't be afraid, this is normal).
Reboot PC when done...

So installing the LAN drivers off this page gave me "unplugged connection" msg in XP even though it was plugged in to my router.
SOOOooooOoo, reading other forums on the subject, some ingenious ppl solved this problem by:
Unplug your EEE PC power cable, and Remove the battery.
Wait or actually the post said count to 10. Then reconnect the Battery then plug-in the power cable and turn on.
Your LAN connection should recognize your Ethernet connection.
It worked for me although it sounded odd, i was down to my wits end so it didn't hurt to try this witchcraft. It worked so whatever.
But then again the weirdest problems sometimes have the weirdest solutions

I also have the problem with not working FN key! Actually it works only with some keys...but it doesn't work with the Volume keys! As I understand I have to install AsusACPI driver. But the link here doesn't work....when I click it, the new page has no other links to download the .zip file....What could be wrong?

I, like some other, am having a problem with the SD Card slot on my eeePC 701. Due to the 4GB hard drive being filled with Windows XP their is no room for all my documents & file to be saved. I'd like to use the SD card slot to mimic a hard drive however it can not be found by XP's device manager. Can anyone solve this problem for me?

Your help work is perfect and thanks a lot for that. I used your windows XP installation guide without any problem. After that I installed drivers from the Support CD Rev. 1.0 which I got with my Asus eee 904HD. After I installed everything from the CD, my webcam still doesnt work because there is no driver for it. Besides of that I cannot get the croatian keyboard layout. I installed the Windows XP onto many PCs and during each installation I had been asked to add croatian keyboard layout and character map, but not during this installation. Thanks for the drivers guys. They worked like a charm for the most part. I have ran in to one problem and it has to do with the audio driver. I bought a Eee 900 from a friend that was not in working order, windows would not boot up and EVERYTHING was erased including drivers. I was able to repair windows and again thanks to u guys was able to get the drivers and install them. I have run in to a problem with the audio driver, i have no sound and its telling me that i have no drivers installed for the sound. I can plug in my usb headphones and it works fine. but when i plug in a regular audio jack headphones i get no sound and a error message...I have installed all drivers in a specified order (leaving the audio driver for last)and i still get no sound from the speakers...What am i doing wrong? Does anyone know the file name for the audio driver? or can someone please upload the driver that is needed for audio? Any help is truly appriciated. Thank you.

i just bought asus eee n the only problem i have is i cannot connect to my wireless connection unless i reset my cable modem. once i reset it, it works like a charm until i shut it down than the following day i have to reset the modem again. my other laptop don't seem to have that problem but my asus. it says the wireless signal strength is excellent but can't renew the ip address unless i reset my cable modem. please help, anyone.

hi my Eeepc 900hd has something uninstalled by me now does not work the: a,s, the FN and several others. I re installed windows, re installed the Acpi drivers even tried the 8g, 4g and 701, but its still the same physically the keyboard seems OK, I removed and tried again, and now I use an USB keyboard, what you recommend?

I had some problems with my eee PC a while back, some things not working right, no web cam, slow transfer rates by usb. I had a look and realised that I did not have usb 2 controllers (required for fast usb transfer rates, some usb devices like web cams and many other). I had XP service pack 2 installed and knew that usb 2 controllers should be installed as standard. To cut a long (and painful) story short and after much searching, I found a post on a site somewhere (can't remember now, but credit to anonymous helper) that there is a setting in the bios "finished OS installation" or something of the like. It must be set to "yes". Like a charm I had usb 2 controllers, fast usb transfer rates and web cam.

Any one can help me that there is any option to restore the operating system because if I am formating with another OS CD my windows license will be cancel. so please help me.

at first i almost give-up w/ this shit. coz i downloaded acpi and chipset but all of 'em was just corrupted.. then i decided, maybe my acpi and chipset is just fine. so i uninstalled that two again and downloaded the audio.. and it's back now!!!! your a life-saver indeed!!!
